Kai-Hsuan Chang is a Paiwan Indigenous artist from Taiwan, currently based in London.Working across sculpture, performance, and installation, his practice explores materialtransformation, land memory, and postcolonial identity through embodied making.Drawing from a background in craft and Indigenous perspectives, he translates large-scalestructures and historical forces into tactile, process-based works that foreground therelationship between body, material, and time.His recent projects investigate bentwood as both a material method and a metaphor forpressure, assimilation, and cultural transformation.
